These terms apply when you use Petindr, operated by Prometheon ([registered company name, number and address]). By creating an account you agree to them.

What Petindr is

Petindr helps people in the UK find dogs and cats from breeders and rescue organisations and care for them afterwards. Swiping right saves a pet or registers interest; it is never a commitment to buy or adopt. Fit scores are guidance based on what you and the seller tell us, not a guarantee.

Sellers and the law

• Puppies and kittens under six months can only be listed by their breeder or a rescue (Lucy's Law). Third-party sellers may not list them.
• No puppy or kitten may be handed over before eight weeks of age.
• Breeders must hold a council licence where the law requires one, and we display the licence number.
• Animals old enough to be microchipped must be chipped, and the number must be given on the listing.
• Sellers must pass an identity check before a listing goes live. A paid subscription never counts as verification and never buys the Gold Standard badge.
• Listing photos must be real photographs of the animal. Portraits and artwork are always labelled and never used as listing photos.

Buyers and adopters

Meet the animal (and, for puppies and kittens, its mother) before paying anything. Adoptions follow each rescue's own process. Until protected payments launch, never send money in advance.

Community rules

Be honest and respectful. Do not post misleading listings, stolen photos or abusive messages. You can report or block anyone, and we may remove content or close accounts that break these rules or put animals at risk.

Beauty Contest

Entry is free for every member, including free accounts. Payments never buy votes. Full contest terms will be published before the first round.

Memberships

Prices include VAT and are launch prices that may change before release. You can cancel a subscription at any time; [cancellation, refund and renewal terms].

Our responsibility

Petindr supports your vet and never replaces them; it does not diagnose illness. Sellers and rescues are responsible for their listings. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under UK consumer law. [limitation of liability wording].
